2017 Leftovers Foundation Volunteer Awards
Leftovers Foundation recognizes the hard work of the Calgary community in supporting the work of the Foundation’s mission to eliminate food waste and alleviate hunger.
Community, volunteers, agencies and companies nominate each other based on a set criteria for each award. Nominations are reviewed by the committee panel. Only award recipients will be notified.
To nominate a volunteer, agency or company, please download and complete the nomination form and submit to Anita at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Awards will be given out in May. Location and time will be released after nominations have been received. Registration for the event will be required and is free.
There are four awards:
- Volunteer of the Year
- Inspiration Award
- Outstanding Partner Award
- Outstanding Corporate Award
Volunteer of the Year
The candidate demonstrates a high level of commitment to the Foundation. This volunteer can support any area of the operations of LOF, including but not limited to event support administrative support and route delivery volunteer. There is no minimum requirement of service for this award.
This award is available to volunteers that demonstrates the commitment to support LOF in its mission. The recipient of this award may have overcome a challenge whether dealing with food security or overcoming barriers that prevented access to food. This volunteer is an inspiration to others and is a clear candidate for this prestigious award.
Outstanding Partner Award
The recipient of this award must be a good standing company that provides food donations for LOF. The company has shown continuous enthusiasm for supporting LOF. There is no minimum requirement or partnership or amount of donated food to be nominated for this award.
Outstanding Corporate Award
This award is available to any corporation (outside of being a vendor) that has supported LOF. This may be through a monetary donation and / or gift in kind.
