Working his way out of the Northern Alberta mines\, he found inspiration to sing and write from artists such as The Band\, Corb Lund\, Leonard Cohen\, and Charley Crockett and has since captivated audiences with illustrating verses and bright refrains. \nRoss is a student of duality. Of comedy and tragedy. From imaginative tunes like “I Don’t Know” to contemplative ballads like “Down The River”\, this music smells of cheap Canadian beer\, gasoline\, donair shops and pine trees\, yet tastes like mussels and champagne. Ross earned a Montreal living as one half of the duo\, The Gardeners\, packing intimate venues with fascinated followers and leaving them wanting more.
