I’m a Grade 5 teacher who has been trying to find a balance between work, mental health, and what is important to me at this time. One of those important things is using whatever I have to help others. For my students that means making fun/silly videos. For the community that means volunteering my time and driving my vehicle to pick up and drop off food for those individuals who may be facing even more challenges in accessibility to food for them and their families. That’s how I heard about Leftovers. I feel grateful for being where I am, knowing that I can do something small like this to help, and I don’t see myself stopping this any time soon.”  –
