Home Harvest
Grower applications are currently closed.
Thank you for a great Home Harvest season!
If you have produce that is already harvested and would like to donate it to Home Harvest, please fill out our Contact form.
Thank you for sharing your locally grown food! Here’s how it works:
- You fill out our Grower Sign-up form
- Our local City Coordinator will contact you to confirm receipt of your sign up form and share additional details.
- Keep us updated about the progress of your garden throughout the season. We request that you give us as much notice as possible when your harvest is ready so that we have the best chance to coordinate volunteers to come out to your home.
- If a volunteer is available to sign up for your harvest, they will phone you 1-2 days before the scheduled harvest/pickup date to confirm:
- Address
- Timing
- Equipment needed
We are no longer accepting applications for unharvested crabapples in Edmonton due to overwhelming demand.
We can still pick up harvested crabapples.
PLEASE NOTE:
- We are not a guaranteed service — we rely on volunteers to sign up to complete harvests. If no volunteer signs up, your food will not be harvested. Keep these tips in mind to increase the likelihood that we can support your harvest:
- Sign-up as early as possible! We suggest a minimum of 2 weeks before your food needs to be harvested.
- Some of our volunteers are able to collect and transport, but not able to harvest. If you can complete your own harvest, we may have more volunteers available who can help with collecting and distributing the produce.
- We are not a landscaping service, but our volunteers will strive to leave your yard in as good or better condition than how they found it.
- Our volunteers do not have specialized equipment like scaffolds, cherry picker trucks, or ladders.
